This page shows a matrix of charts
that will soon be broken into separate links for each state to have its own web
page. The tokens listed are most all of
the reasonably obtainable sales tax tokens known to exist. These tax tokens are
listed with the attribution numbers from the "United States
Sales Tax Tokens and Stamps: A History and catalog" by Merlin
Malehorn and Tim Davenport. Most of the tables are complete but there will be
new additions coming as time allows.
Below you will find an example of
how to read the charts. The prices listed are the approximate retail price you
will find these tokens offered if they are properly attributed. The prices are
only the author’s opinion and could vary greatly depending on the market and
locale of the sale. There are also rarity scales taken from the same book
referenced above. I have taken the liberty of revising the rarities in some
instances where I feel that the book may not be a true representation of the
token.
